The Dancing Noodles celebrate their 35th anniversary with a concert Sat., May 4, 8 p.m., Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St. Don’t miss one of Chicago’s top R&B cover bands. Tickets $20 ($18 for BAC members).

“Flight,” a musical written by Chicago playwright and composer Michael Potsic, will premiere at the Beverly Arts Center (BAC), 2407 W. 111th St. the first two weekends in May. The 95th Street Farmers Market season opens on Sun., May 5, operating every Sunday – rain or shine -- through Oct. 27, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the city owned commuter lot at 95th and Longwood Dr. The market offers a wide variety of seasonal produce and plants, as well as prepared foods, breads, organic meats, cheeses and much more from regional farmers and providers. Special events on May 5 include representatives from the Beverly Area Planning Association and the Beverly Arts Center in the Community Tent, Joel Barr providing music, 10 a.m. to noon, and complimentary face painting for children, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Children’s Tent.
