Nonperishable Food Drive ~ Until November 7th

Evergreen Park Public Library will be collecting nonperishable food at the Children's Services Desk until November 7. All food collected will be donated to the Village Pantry. You CAN help fight hunger.

Cards for Hospitalized Kids ~ Tuesday, November 5th from 5:30 to 7

Join the Evergreen Park Public Library to make holiday cards for kids who are hospitalized.  They will send the cards to the Chicago organization Cards for Hospitalized Kids (http://www.cardsforhospitalizedkids.com).  Kids and teens who are in need of service hours can earn up to 1.5!

Stampin' Up Cards, November 5th at 6:30p.m.

Esther Thoele of Stampin' Up will teach you how to use decorative rubber stamps and accessories to make personal greeting cards. Participants will create different themed cards each month. Bring your own scissors and adhesive. Register for each class separately. Pay instructor directly. Evergreen Park Public Library

Yak and Yarn ~ Tuesday, November 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 6:30 p.m.

The Yak and Yarn Club is open to crocheters and beginning knitters as well.   6th grade - adult are welcome. Sessions are held in the library’s Reading Room. Beginning crochet students should bring an H/8 hook and skein of medium weight yarn; beginning knitters should bring size 8 needles and a skein of medium weight yarn. All others bring a current project you are working on to enjoy the camaraderie of crocheting and knitting with others. Evergreen Park Public Library

Line Dancing Classes, Every Monday, November 4, 11, 18 and 25

Classes are offered every Monday at the Evergreen Park Community Center, 3450 W. 97th Street. 11:00am - Beginners, 12:00 pm - Intermediate, Cost $2.00/Class. For more information call 708-422-8776

Senior Luncheon ~ Thursday, November 21st at 11am   

Mayor Sexton annual state of the village and honoring Evergreen Park Veterans. Country Western singer Johnny Gray will perform after lunch. $8 ticket must be purchased by Monday, November 18th. Community Center
Annual Family Basketball Turkey Shoot ~ Saturday, Nov. 23 at 3 p.m.
Open to 4th, 5th. 6th graders and their parents/guardians at the Activity Center. A team of one child and one parent/guardian shoots 10 free throws a piece.  The team who hits "nothing but net" the most wins a 10-12lb turkey. Register at the Youth Room. $6 per team.
